Conspiracy to scuttle T bifurcation process: Vanam Jwala Narasimha Rao

Conspiracy to scuttle T bifurcation process
Vanam Jwala Narasimha Rao

Has the leak of Justice Srikrishna Commission coordinator S K Duggal’s alleged ‘tea meeting’ with Congress MP T Subbarami Reddy and the rumors of ‘change of guard’ in Andhra too, anything to do? That too when the state bifurcation issue almost reached to a climax?

As an analyst I find a ‘link’ between the two – Rosaiah’s removal and Duggal ‘tea-meeting’ with Reddy. Tensions are mounting as D-day – i.e., December 31 – is drawing closer with Centre constituted Justice Srikrishna panel submitting its report. While this being a fact, to me as an observer I feel, the ‘key’ member of Srikrishna Commission would have restrained himself from interacting with people who were known opponents of state bifurcation, as that would give room for suspicion. Well, Duggal may justify saying ‘having tea with TSR is as good as going for a dinner with T-leaders. Yet, being a high-profile bureaucrat who served the Union government as Principal Secretary, Home, should not have given an opportunity for this sort of criticism.

Though such bonhomie meets should not be viewed seriously, yet the element of doubt of those who are aspiring for separate statehood bound to suspect the possibility of sharing the ‘content’ of their (Commission’s) report, consciously or inadvertently. Quite often, this possibility cannot be ruled out when two people meet and happen to discuss such sensitive issues.

Having said that what surprise me most is the ‘timing of leak’ of the alleged meeting, which even Duggal now confirms. While the meeting supposed to have taken place more than a fortnight ago, why it has to be ‘leaked’ to the media now? Here I find a catch and needle of suspicion obviously points towards the D-day (submission of Srikrishna Commission report or findings to the Centre) drawing closer. Doesn’t it sound like the conspiracy of those who opposed to state bifurcation? Aren’t they, in an attempt not leave any ‘guess’ also raised the ‘bogey’ of ‘change of guard (means, replacement of Rosaiah and sending the latter as Governor of some neighboring state) only to divert or deviate people’s attention from the focused ‘bifurcation’ issue?

True, heavens are not going to fall after December 31 as being feared. But, certainly the evidences gathered by Justice Srikrishna Commission will pave way for the Centre to deal the demand either way – either to begin the process for bifurcation as being spelt out by none other than the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram last December, or ruled out such possibility as the aspirations of many oppose to such proposal.

To me it appears these two planted news campaigns are well orchestrated conspiracies of those who opposed to state bifurcation. Those forces had been proving success after success whenever the issue reaches its climax. And, ironically the emotive pro-Telanganites are falling a prey to such evil designs of anti-bifurcation campaigners with their fool-hardly mistakes.

Even now, those who favor bifurcation appears to me committing same old mistake by demanding the resignation of Mr Duggal. Pressing for such a demand is nothing short falling into the ‘prey’ of those evil designers. If they step up their demand and if Duggal considers their demand, then the whole year-long wait (read either as patience or process) will go for a six! Yet again the bifurcation issue will be back to knot. That’s not in interest of separatists. They should restrain and show some sense of maturity and blush aside these petty things, though they hurt their feelings and raise doubts over the honesty of members like Duggal, yet worth waiting.

It is also true that the ‘conspirators’ today may be feeling jubilant as the demand for Duggal scalp is mounting from T-leaders. But, it’s time for T-leaders to retrain themselves, as the wait is not going to be that long. Thus, they can ensure giving a ‘fitting’ reply to their opponents by not allowing them realize their dream of further delaying the state bifurcation process.

Hope, the T leaders, irrespective of their party identities, will take my suggestion seriously and show up their restraint.

  1. Very rudimentary analysis. Its quite surprising to me how do you cliam yourself a senior analyst when your thought process is immatured and biased. Dec 31 st is oiver 50 days ago, and how the damn you feel a roumar that spelt out now, and that stays in news for 2 3 days, will be a conspiracy to scuttle something that might or might not come-up after 50 days.
I dont know how to term it- if he takes a coffee with Samaikyandhra leaders its all over for Telangana seperatists is it? You have no goddamn common sense that if I wanna lobby with you, I will not announce and exivbit that in public but I go and get what I want to get done in silense.
And finally, the "formation of seperate telenagana is ONLY after otaining common consensus is also spelt out by none other than the union home minister P Chidambaram.
Rediculous thoughts and biased scribblings. Do some justice for your age old man,.

  2. hmm... nice analysis. You mentioned two incidents (Duggal's meeting and Rosaiah's possible replacement). If your line is taken as the basis then I would say KCR also is reading the situation as you did. Because KCR sending out that feeler to Congress that he will help strengthen them is probably the third linked incident in this series but the third one must have been a response to the first two :)

But your whole line of thought hinges on one assumption that the first two incidents are linked. I suspect they are not linked.
Especially.. movement of Rosaiah is anyway a foregone conclusion..only issue is the timing of it. for the following reasons..

    1. Congress can not hope to go the next election under his leadership
    2. Once the Center comes out with a clear decision on what to do.. Rosaiah does not suit the job.
    3. Rosaiah will remain firmly in his seat as long as there is ambiguity in the future course of action.

as per my analysis Telangana is going to come. Only issues are the form and shape of it and the timing. We might need to wait until we get the following two items before saying our theories are correct.

  3. Continuation for the above comment:

    1. Jagan is yet to open his cards
    2. We need to wait for the next one or two feelers from KCR

Until these two are established.. every theory is still incomplete..

  4. Congratulations for an in-depth analysis...better than mine. Yes.. Until the goal is reached every thing in any issue is a THEORY.
