Yadadri-Yadagirigutta
to be developed as
Man made wonder
Vanam Jwala Narasimha Rao
Development works of Yadadri-Yadagirigutta will commence on the auspicious
Vijay Dasami day, the October 22nd 2015. Chief Minister K
Chandrashekhar Rao in a review meeting with officials of Temple Development
Authority held on 14th October approved the designs, layout and the
proposed works. CM said that when once the development is completed it should
appear like a man made wonder. The designs approved are in such a way that the
sanctum sanctorum is not touched in any way.
A significant development would be that construction of temple city
would cover an area of 1000 acres spread over two hills on the eastern side of
the main hill topped with the shrine which is now called Yadadri. Salient
features of the designs approved include among others, protection of cave
temple of Narasimha Swamy in its pristine form, construction of a Bus Stand on
the hill in an area of about 1.90 acres to help the pilgrims alight at the nearest
point to the sanctum sanctorum, making use of the existing road for going up
and the to be constructed new ghat road for getting down, laying of Mada
Streets in about 2.30 acres around the main temple as well as to be laid for
Sivalayam, building of Anandam Complex on temple site, a separate entry for
Darshanam for VIPs, provision of adequate place for conducting Brahmothsavams, queue
complex at Sri Chakra Bhavan, erection of 108 feet tall south-facing Anjaneya
statue on the north-eastern side of main temple, clubbing of two hillocks
nearby for development of temple city, construction of VIP guest house and
cottages in about 30 acres of area on the northern side of the main hill etc.
Thus the temple city will have wide roads, new electricity lines, drainage
system, gardens, cottages, choultries, parking place and Kalyanamantapam. There
will be plants spreading flagrance as well as some aromatic plants in the hill
surroundings. An advanced Sound system continuously playing devotional holy songs
round the clock will be installed. The VIP guest house that is proposed would
like or may be even better than the Padmavathi guest house in Thirumala. A
commercial complex would also come-up around the temple. A facility for free
food scheme is also envisaged. Resting place for priests and shopping complex
for sale of religious articles and souvenirs is also proposed in the approved
designs.
Chief Minister desires that this wonderful construction to be taken-up
immediately and the Temple Authority should take complete responsibility for
commencement, supervision and completion of works and for providing basic
infrastructure facilities in accordance with the approved designs. It may be
recalled that the decision to develop Yadadri into a major religious and
tourist attraction was taken during CM visit to the temple along with Governor
and China Jeeyar Swamy on May 30, 2015 and a Puja was also performed then. CM also
assured for provision of additional funds apart from the Rs. 200 Crores allotted
in successive annual budgets. Name of donors who created facilities earlier would
have the privilege of being retained in the new constructions in addition to that
of fresh donors.
