Yadagirigutta Development Designs
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on
Mondy examined the designs pertaining to development of main temple of the
presiding deity on Yadagirigutta and its surroundings in Nalgonda district.
In a review meeting, the
Chief Minister discussed about the designs with temple ‘stapathi’ Anand Sai,
architects Raju and Jagan, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Yadagirigutta Development
Authority G. Kishan Rao, Special Secretary in CMO K. Bhoopal Reddy. He directed
them that the development works should multiply the thoughts of spiritualism
among the pilgrims and visitors, particularly on the hillock.
The surroundings of the main
temple and the hillock should be developed into a green belt with a variety of
plants, the Chief Minister suggested. He went through the designs of the main
temple, four ‘mada veedhis’, four ‘raja gopurams’, pedestrian pathway,
devotees’ queue complex, area for organizing ‘brahmotsavams’, expansion of
bathing pond on the north-eastern side, shivalayam on the east and
Aanjaneyaswamy statue at the main entrance on the west – all to be developed on
the six acres space on the hillock.
Besides, he also examined the
designs of temple kitchen, ‘addala mandapam’, ‘kalyana mandapam’ and ‘yaga
shala’. A broad clarity has come on the location of various constructions on
the hillock and in the surrounding areas as part of the development plans.
The Chief Minister also
directed the officials to plan construction of shopping complexes, stay
facilities for pilgrims. Except the sanctum sanctorum located in a cave on the
hillock, the remaining area would be remodeled and developed as per the
provisions of ‘aagama shastra’, the Chief Minister said.
He wanted officials to plan
to develop the nearby Baswapur tank as a major reservoir and also develop a
theme park adjacent to the reservoir on the lines of Brundavan Gardens of
Mysuru. (Courtesy The Hindu dated 1st September, 2015)
